<p>The wheel wedge has self contained control requiring a small lift. It consists of a cradle of sheet material fixed on the side of a support and held by a pneumatic ram. The device is for use when recutting the treads of tyres of heavy vehicles to lock the wheel after lifting the vehicle so that the tyre is about 2mm clear of the ground. The air pressure of 2/3 bars is available in suitable tyres.</p> |
