PURPOSE:To uniformly and continuously polish sheet metals by a method wherein a buff roll is fixed with a balanced lever type shaft supporting member and a moment of a force of said member is changed according to a polishing condition and then, a coil type metal sheet is wound. CONSTITUTION:A buff roll 2 and a driving motor 6 are fixed to a lever type shaft supporting member 7 through a bearing 8. A balance weight 12 is moved along a screw rod 13 by means of the rotation of a handle 11 to adjust the moment around the shaft 8 of a lever type shaft supporting member 7. Accordingly, a contact force of the buff roll 2 against a continuously traveling metal sheet 10 can be changed according to a polishing condition. Further, an oil pressure cylinder 9 can be arranged to the shaft supporting member 7 to absorb an impact caused on the traveling of the metal sheet 10. In this manner, while winding the coil type metal sheet, polishing can be uniformly and continuously performed. |
