The junction sleeve for cable equipment is assembled from at least two coaxial sleeves, made of different metals. The inner sleeve is pref. made of a material of high electrical conductivity ( copper, aluminium) and of adequate thickness to ensure a low current density. The outer sleeve is made of a material with a high mechanical strength to act as a crimp connection. The outer sleeve is pref. lined with a coating of metal or plastic for protection against corrosion. Such a type of junction can be applied even to large cross-sectionalareas. |
