Opening devices for packing containers, which are made of flexible, tearable laminate material, often consist of a part of the packing container wall which can be torn open along a tear perforation. In order to prevent leakage, the openable part and the tear perforation are sealed from the inside of the container by a liquid-tight film. The film is connected within a limited region to the tear- open part, so that the film breaks and the said region accompanies the tear-open part when opening takes place. This function has proved unreliable, however, since the connection between the film and the tear-open part does not always lead to the desired rupturing of the film, but instead results in a delamination of the tear-open part. This drawback is eliminated by means of a flexible opening strip made of plastics material, which is placed between the openable part and the film and is sealed to the latter so that the film is definitely ruptured when the opening strip is removed. <IMAGE> |
