The water power extractor has an endless chain (5) which runs between two sprockets (4) mounted horizontally at each end of a chassis (3). One of the wheels drives a power generator mounted ashore. The chassis is supported by frames (2) located at equal intervals along it and mounted on a base resting on the bed. The vanes are carried at equal spaces along the chain and hinged at the base to hang vertically below the chain.
