The adjustable cell-type pump has a casing comprising two halves adjustable in relation to each other, moving in a housing and engaging together by means of protrusions. The housing contains inlet and outlet passages. The casing halves (3,4) hinge together by means of a pivot pin (9) fixed in position in the housing (8). The protrusions (6) at the joins (5) between them can be in the form of intermeshing teeth, the gaps (6a) between the teeth forming outlet ports (19). An annular chamber (7) can be formed in the housing round the halves, connected to the outlet ports and outlet passage (21).
