Battery powered free standing lamp - has bulb section mounted on battery housing and is used as switch actuator

A free standing battery powered lamp is designed for a wide range of uses and uses the lamp stage as an actuator. The batteries (15) are housed in a two part casing (2,3) that are held together with screws. The single pole switch (6) is secured to a plate in the top half of the housing an the actuator button (7) is in contact with a magnetic sleeve (10) that is spring biased (12). The lamp (20) housing is produced from a ferromagnetic material and locates directly on the actuator sleeve. When the lamp is pressed downwards the lamp switch is actuated.
