The outlet assembly is intended for a container (2) holding bulk material and having a funnel-shaped outlet. It comprises one or more rigid vibratory plates (1) which form part of the funnel wall. Each plate may be surrounded by and secured to resilient seal strips (3) and may be held via additional resilient supports (4). Each plate may have its individual vibratory drive (7). The direction of vibration may be adjustable between normal and parallel to the plate surface to optimise movement of the material. The vibration frequency and/or amplitude and/or direction of individual drives may be adjustable.
