PURPOSE:To improve a reliability of a bearing by a method wherein a gap is installed between a bearing outer ring and a bearing supporting part and a specific metal member is placed into this gap and this is plastically pressed into the bearing supporting part, thus, a creep and a fretting phenomenon of a bearing outer ring are prevented. CONSTITUTION:A bearing 3 which bears in free rotation, a rotating shaft 1 to a bearing supporting part 2 such as an end bracket of a rotation machine, etc. is mounted by a method wherein an inner ring 3a is fixed by pressure in the rotating shaft 1 and an outer ring 3b is held in the bearing supporting part 2 through a center piece 4. The center piece 4 is made of a steel material and consists of a cylinder part 4a and a bottom part 4b and has a cup type. At the cylinder part 4a, two or more projecting parts 4c having a section of a trapezoid type protruding from the outer peripheral surface toward the outside and stretching to the axial direction are installed with an equal interval to the radial direction are installed with an equal interval to the radial direction and the plate thickness of the center piece 4 is thinner than the gap between the outer ring 3b and the bearing supporting part 2. This piece is pressed into the abovementioned gap and is fixed with a plastic deformation generated at the supporting part 2 near the projecting part 4c. |
