PURPOSE:To make construction simple and make the deflector suitable for mass production by supporting a revolving shaft by means of a pair of ball bearings, providing a magnetic field type DC motor between these bearing supports, and disposing a rotary polyhedral mirror body on the outside of the support of said bearings. CONSTITUTION:The stator of the light deflector consists of an outside cylinder 72, a stator 73, a ball bearing holding cylinder 74, a position detecting cylinder 91, Hall elements 92 and 92', a printed substrate 93, a lead-out wire 94 and an O-ring 95. On the other hand, the rotor consists of a rotary polyhedral mirror 51, a revolving shaft 52, a cork member 55, a mounting nut 56, a rotary magnet 58, ball bearings 61, 62, etc. The outer races of a pair of the ball bearings 61 and 62 are supported by a balancing tester and are well balanced. As a result, the light deflector of a small size and low costs which has stable quality with the accuracy equal to that of light deflectors of conventional type, is less than half the number of constituting parts and is about 70% in size is obtainable. |
