PURPOSE:To protect the transparent electrode from damage, and prevent a glass plate from being cracked, by polishing a transparent plate from the opposite side of a transparent electrode to form a transparent thin plate, then jointing a transparent board with said thin plate and polishing the circumferential face of said thin plate obliquely. CONSTITUTION:A transparent electrode pattern 13 is formed on a transparent glass plate 21 then a smooth planar plate 24 is adhered temporally over said plate 21, thereafter said plate 21 is polished from the opposite side of said transparent electrode 13 to form a transparent thin plate 15. Then, the circumferential face of said thin plate 15 is polished obliquely to form an angle theta1 between 30-60 deg. and mirror face polishing is performed while a smooth planar face 24 is peeled off to produce a transparent thin plate 15 having desired thickness. Furthermore, a glass face plate 2 of an image pick-up tube is adhered with a filter 3 placed inside, thereaftee an angle theta2 is provided similarly to produce a face plate for color image pick-up tube. Consequently the transparent electrode is protected from damage while the glass plate is protected from crack. |
