<p>The folding operating table designed so that it is easily transported to remote sites, where operations may be performed inside e.g. a tent, has an adjusting mechanism between a base frame and the supporting surface. This allows the surface to be tilted to a required angle when erected. The base frame has two side members mounted on height adjustable feet, and connected by cross members with locking devices at their ends. This supports a smaller intermediate frame which carries the adjusting mechanism and locking system. This mechanism consists of levers attached at one end to the supporting surface and at the other end to nuts which travel along a screw rotated by an operating handle at the side. The supporting surface consists of panels attached to each other by hinges.</p> |
