The numerically controlled system for machinery includes a processing facility to minimise errors in profile caused by differences in the following errors of the different axes. The system servo drives operate to follow the commands generated by the system interpolator and each axes responds dependent upon the feed rate. Errors in profile result if the following errors are very different. The system maintains a continuous comparison with a model held in memory to ensure that the feed rate is held within specific limits to ensure profile accuracy.
