PURPOSE:To obtain a tasteful drink containing starch and an antibacterial surfactant, sealed in a container and imparted with desirable viscosity without lowering the antibacterial property of the surfactant, by using a chemically modified starch as a part of the starch. CONSTITUTION:A tasteful drink (e.g. corn pottage soup) sealed in a container, resistant to degradation even after the preservation in warmed state over a long period and having excellent quality is produced by using a chemically modified starch (preferably dextrin, etc.) as at least a part of starch of the objective drink containing starch and an antibacterial surfactant. The amount of the chemically modified starch and the antibacterial surfactant are preferably 1.5wt.% and 0.01-0.2wt.% based on the whole tasteful drink, respectively. |
