Rear connection system for equipment sliding into housing - has contact pins passing through resilient contact plate and intermediate plate

The printed circuit plate connection system at the rear of equipment inserted into a housing uses plugs (1) with contact pins (2) projecting from them which are inserted through more than one plate. The pins can first pass through contact plates (3) which can be curved and of spring material. These are held in contact with the conductive layer (8) of an intermediate contact plate (4) with a pattern of clearance holes (7) through it, for the pins. The sprung contact plates can be in sections with different patterns and numbers of holes. Some holes can be contact holes, while other holes (10) are clearance holes. The pins then pass through a printed circuit plate (5) and can carry conductor wires (6) on the far side.
