The clasp for securing a leather strap (e) or the like, comprises a rotatable knob (a) with cylindrical projection (b) provided with external screw thread (k) fitting in corresponding internal thread in a cylindrical body (c). The body is provided with a transverse slot (d) through which a strap can be inserted for securing by tightening the screw knob. The slot and/or the projection (b) may have raised portions (f) to improve the grip on the strap and corresponding shoulders (g,h) to prevent removal of the screw knob.
