PURPOSE:To improve a junction strength between a wire and a head and to improve durability and reliability of a wire by a method wherein when preparing a print wire of a wire matrix type, a compressive machining is applied to the junction between a wire and a head. CONSTITUTION:After a wire 1 composed of a hardened steel wire is inserted into a small hole 3 of a head 2, external peripheral surfaces 7 and 8 are applied with a compressive machining by means of a die 9' and a punch 10'. After the wire 1 is inserted into the head 2, if it is bonded with a bonding agent and is applied with a compressive machining, then, a junction strength between the wire 1 and the head 2 is improved. With this method, a wire does not receive an influence due to a heating by means of a brazing and a welding during a junction between the wire 1 and the head 2, thus, a wire itself being prevented from cutting and loss. |
