PURPOSE:To make it possible to connect terminal devices differing in transmission control procedure with minimum circuit facility by storing an ID signal that shows a called-subscriber's number or calling-subscriber's number for every terminal and then by comparing the signal with a received ID signal. CONSTITUTION:Prior to communication, transmission, control method code 12 and ID signal 13 for every terminal device are transferred from CPU10 to communication controller 11. While code 12 is of one byte length, signal 13 is unfixed in length and controller 11 compresses signal 13 to two bytes by CRU arithmetic part 14 and stores code 12 and the contents of compressed ID signal 13' in specific area 15. In calling operation or incoming operation, ID signal 4 received is compressed to two bytes by arithmetic part 14 and received and compressed ID signal 4' is compared with signal 13' by comparing circuit 16, so that when the both agree mutually, signal 4' and code 12 will be set in program address counter 17. According to the contents of code 12, processing program 18 that corresponds to the transmission control procedure is executed to perform data transmission. |
