Aq. soln. of high b.p. organic atifreeze is conc. by exposing the aq. soln. to a warm air stream and evapg. water from the soln. into the air to produce a highly humid airvapour stream and a liq. conc., in the antifreeze droplets(20) which is passed through a first screen(44a) to trap the droplets and raise the relative humidity of the air-vapour stream leaving the screen. This stream is cooled to condense a second mist of antifreeze droplets which is passed through a second screen(44b) to trap the droplets and raise the relative humidity of the air-vapour stream leaving the screen.
