<p>The combined smoke flue and water heater for a fireplace comprises a smoke tube enclosed by a jacket through which the water is directed. The jacket (12) comprises U-section strips (16), with two free flanges (18) joined by a base web (17). These run at right angles to the axis of the smoke tube (11) and are spaced apart (19). The free ends of the flanges (18) are alternately secured to the wall (22) of the smoke tube and to the edges of the adjacent strips at the corners (23), in the plane of the base webs (17). The space between the strips can be the same as that between the two corners of a strip.</p> |
