PURPOSE:A dentifrice composition, having improved transparency retention at a low temperature, and containing polyethylene glycol of specific molecular weight. CONSTITUTION:A dentifirce composition containing a polyethylene glycol having an average molecular weight of 450 or less, preferably 200-400, in a transparent dentifrice composition containing an anion surfactant, e.g. sodium lauryl sulfate. An anion surfactant as a foaming agent added to a transparent dentifrice reduces the transparency due to the deposition thereof on storing for a long term at a low temperature, e.g. -5 deg.C in the winter season. The deposition of the surfactant can be prevented by adding the polyethylene glycol of specific molecular weight to the composition. |
