PURPOSE:To separate cathodic gas efficiently and to hold the level of cathodic soln. constant, by installing a gas-liquid separator at the outlet for the cathodic soln., and by adjusting the height of a percolation pipe. CONSTITUTION:In an electrolytic cell 1, cathodic soln. is charged to a cathodic chamber (a) through the feed opening 4, and the cathodic soln. accompanied by the cathodic gas generated in the cathodic chamber (a) is charged to a gas-liquid separator 10. The cathodic soln. accompanied with the cathodic gas charged from the outlet 5 for the cathodic soln. to the gas-liquid separator 10 through an introducing opening 12 for the cathodic soln. of the separator 10 is separated from the cathodic gas in the separator 10 efficiently, then the cathodic gas is taken out through an outlet 11. The cathodic soln. separated from the cathodic gas is taken out through an exhaust pipe 13 and a percolation pipe 14. Change in the height of overflow part 15 allows to adjust the water gauge pressures corresponding to the height of overflow part 15 for the cathodic soln. of percolation pipe 14 and the exhaust opening 13, in addition to adjust the pressure applied to the cathodic chamber (a). |
