<p>PURPOSE:To glue a surface layer with a uniform thicness and higher accuracy by a method wherein a surface layer material is mounted on a reinforced core material positioned on the surface of a permeable lower mold, and a permeable upper mold is combined with the lower mold to incorporate the core material with the surface material by vacuum sucking. CONSTITUTION:A reinforced core material 35 molded in the curved shape of a product is mounted in a fixed position on the surface 14a of a permeable lower mold 14. Then a surface material 36, consisting of a (non) permeable flexible sheet 37 and a foam plastic sheet 38, placed on a sheet table 17, is supplied into a frame 10 where the corners of the surface material 36 are clamped by a sheet clamp 16. Next, after taking the table 17 out of the frame 10, heaters 19, 20 are positioned in the frame 10 to plasticize the surface material 36 by heating it. Simultaneously, the heaters 19, 20 are used to heat the core material 35 and the surface 15a of the permeable upper mold 15, before being taken out of the frame 10. Then a cylinder 11 and a vacuum pump 23 is driven to make the core material 35 adhere to the surface 14a of the lower mold 14. After this, the upper mold 15 and the lower mold 14 are combined together so that the surface material 36 is incorporated with the core material 35.</p> |
