PURPOSE:To provide a recording material with excellent solvent resistance and water resistance and without the reduction of color developing capacity with time obtained by coating a composition comprising treating a bisphenol compound in the co-presence of an inorg. pigment and a dispersing agent by a dispersing machine using media on a support. CONSTITUTION:To 100pts.wt. of (A) a bisphenol compound such as 2, 2-bis (4'- hydroxyphenyl) butane or the like, 50-5,000pts.wt. of (B) an inorg. pigment such as CaCO3 or an acid earth and 0.5-45pts.wt. of (C) a dispersing agent such as sodium hexametaphosphate or the like are compounded and water is added therein to adjust a solid concn. to 10-70wt%. Subsequently, this mixture is supplied to a dispersing machine such as a ballmill using media such as flint stones and treated at 30 deg.C or less so as to reduce a particle size to 10mu or less, thereafter a water soluble binder is added to obtain a coating liquid. Subsequently, this coating liquid is coated on a support so as to form a coating containing 0.2-4.0g/m<2> of the (A) component to obtain a recording material. |
