<p>PURPOSE:To easily perform the time set work, by installing the common external clock device, and providing the time processing part for not only requesting the transmission of a time data to this clock device but also reading the time data, in the computer. CONSTITUTION:The common external clock device 1 is connected to the computer 11 having the time processing part 41. The time generating part 2 of the device 1 counts a time from the contents of the time setting part 6. When a new time has been set to the setting part 6, an interruption signal is sent out to the computer 11 from the interruption generating part 5. The processing part 41 which has received the interruption signal generates a time data transmission request signal to the request receiving part 4. In accordance with this request, the time transmitting part 3 transfers a time data from the time generating part 2 to the processing part 41, and the processing part 41 sets the time data as the time in the computer 11. The time which has been set once is brought to updating peculiar to the computer at every prescribed time, and it is used as the time of the computer 11.</p> |
