<p>The ink cartridge for use in ink jet printers utilises a flexible container that is emptied by application of air pressure. The ink container is in the form of a flexible bay (1) that is supported within a rigid housing (3) and is sealed from the atmosphere. A flexible pressure ball (5) is mounted in the end of the housing and has a volume of approximately one half that of the free space in the housing. When pressure is applied, the ink is expelled from a nozzle in the end of the housing.</p> |
