<p>Dress shields made from a sandwich material, having an inner absorbent element between outer layers of a filter material and an impervious material, joined together around the edges, consist of two crescent-shaped components fastened together along the concave edges to form a V-shaped article which corresponds to the form of the garment in the armpit region. The inner, impervious layer has an adhesive zone which holds it in position in the garment, but allows it to be removed for replacement. The shield can be fabricated from an appropriately-shaped flat piece of the impervious material with attached filter and absorbent pads, which can be formed to the required shape by the user.</p> |
