PURPOSE:To stabilize an analysis of a sample gas by a method wherein a branched pipe equipped with an adjusting valve is installed in a duct at the exit side of a carrier gas passage column and the carrier gas flow rate introduced to a detector is made variable. CONSTITUTION:The branched pipe 3 is installed at the duct of a conduit 2 leading to the detector 1 and within the branched pipe 3, the flow rate adjusting valve 4 is fitted. The flow rate of the carrier gas introduced to the detector 1 is freely adjusted in the column exit pipe by controlling this flow rate adjusting valve 4. With this, a quantative carrier gas can be always passed through the column, and a portion thereof can be introduced into the detector 1, thus, enabling the detection of an organic component in the sample gas with high sensitivity. |
