PURPOSE:To obtain a PS plate of good reproducibility of images and superior print resistance and printing characteristics despite enlarging and printing of photographs by contg. silver halide particles of less than specific grain sizes, fine particles of lipophilic materials and tetrazolium salt. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive silver halide emulsion layer contg. the tetrazolium salt expressed by the formula I-III (R1, R3, R4, R5, R8, R10, R11 are aryl, heterocycles, R2, R6, R7 are H, alkyl, aryl, heterocycle, OH, COOH, carboxy ester, amino, sulfo, SONH2, sulfamyl, SH, NO2; D is bivalent aromatic groups, E is allylene or aralkylene; X<-> is anion, n is 1, 2) together with silver halide particles of <=0.7mu mean grain sizes and fine particles of lipophilic materials (diethylene glycol adipic acid polyester, etc.) is provided on the nonsilver photosensitive layer, which is able to form liophilic images and is formed on an Al plate or the like. This photosensitive printing plate is used and is developed by a developing soln. contg. >= 0.18mol/l sulfite. |
