PURPOSE:To obtain a shift register to be able to shift in both right and left directions by providing a gate circuit to be connected to first and second input terminals and to prohibit the simultaneous impressing of right and left shift input signals. CONSTITUTION:The titled register is provided with the first and second input terminals to which the right and left shift input signals are impressed, a gate circuit 9 to be connected to the first and second input terminals and to prohibit the simultaneous impressing of the right and left shift input signals and an operating part 14 to generate an output signal shifted to the right and left direction in accordance to a signal to pass through this gate circuit. Thus, respectively according to the right and left shift input signals, the output signal to be shifted in the right direction or the left direction can be obtained and when the right and left shift input signals are impressed, the input prohibition can be executed by the operation of the gate circuit. Then, the right and left shift is not executed. |
