<p>Compsns. for covering floor, partic sports ground, is based on aq. polymer dispersions as binders, inorganic fillers and colourants. The binder is a mixt. of an aq. vinyl acetate homopolymer (I) dispersion and an aq. vinyl acetate lower alkyl maleate copolymer (II) dispersion. The filler has a particle size of 50-200 microns. 1.3-1.7 pts. wt. of the copolymer (II) are used per pt. homopolymer (I) and total wt. of the 2 dispersions is 0.5-2 pts. per 3 pts. of total compsn. The alkyl maleate is n-butyl maleate. The copolymer can be replaced by a highly plasticised styrene/alkyl arylate copolymer. The compsn. gives an impermeable, flexible, regular and uniformly coloured surface and is suitable e.g. for tennis counts.</p> |
