<p>A biodestructive material for bone fixation elements comprises (1) 20-50 wt.% of a matrix of non-toxic body resolvable copolymer consisting of 20-40 wt.% of hydrophobic units (I) and 80-60 wt.% of hydrophobic units (II); and (2) 80-50 wt.% of reinforcement of non-toxic and body resolvable fibres. (I) is N-vinyl pyrrolidone (III), hydrophobic acrylamides, vinyl caprolactam, mono-methacrylic acid esters of ethylene glycol or acrylic acid. (II) is a hydrophotic acrylate or vinyl acetate. (2) comprise polyamide, oxy-cellulose, PVA and/or non-toxic natural resolvable fibres. Additional operations for the extraction of the connecting element are unnecessary. The connecting element can be adjusted to size during the operation by the use of mechanical tools so that it does not limit mobility of adjacent joints.</p> |
