<p>A temp. dependent controller with a temp. sensor or expansion element and a manually adjustable control range setting element is suitable for domestic heating control. It can be automatically adjusted according to the time of day but is extremely economical to make compared to conventional controllers with position motors. The temp. sensor or expansion element (12) is associated with an electrical heater, e.g. a heating coil (10) mounted in a coil housing (5) attached to the temp. dependent regulator. The heater coil housing has a coil core (11) of thermally conducting material in thermal contact with the expansion element (12). The regulator forms part of a thermostatic valve for a heating device, e.g. a radiator, which is automatically operated by heating the sensor or expansion element.</p> |
