Diagnostic appts. measuring lung and bronchial noise - simultaneously records respiration level for correlation with recorded noise pulses

The appts. uses a microphone incorporated in a device attached to the patient's mouth, for recording and/or storing the frequency and amplitude of the noise due to the patient breathing. It is coupled to a second device which simultaneously measures and records the associated flow and volume signals for the patient's breathing cycle. Pref. the microphone is coupled via an electronic filter to a storage stage recording the noise pulses with a coordinate recording device used to output the stored pulses. The appts. allows the amount of noise to be correlated with the level of breathing and prevents the diagnosis being effected by the hearing of the doctor.
