发明名称 SELECTING METHOD FOR BEARING SHIM
摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To enable a reliable and rapid selection of a shim, by a method wherein, in a shim selection method adopted when a spacer and the shim are located between a pair of bearings for providing a given preload to a bearing, a given computation and a preload value are measured. CONSTITUTION:When selecting a bearing shim 12, a pair of inners 3 and 4 of taper roller bearings 1 and 2 and a spacer 5 located between the inners are set at a jig 6, and a size A between both end surfaces of the two bearings 1 and 2 at a time when a given load P1 is applied from the upper part is measured. The spacer 5 is then removed, and the inners 3 and 4 and outers 10 and 11, which are pressed into a sleeve 9, are set. A size B obtained when a load P2 is applied is measured. A thickness t of the shim 12 is then found from a size difference (B-A), and the shim 12 and the spacer 5 are both fabricated for applying a load P3. If a preload value obtained thereupon is within a specified range, the shim 12 is treated as a passed one.</p>
