PURPOSE:To make it possible to obtain a contracted monitor copy with identification information, by thinning out identification information such as a transmission time and a transmission destination code together with picture information and by recording them. CONSTITUTION:Reader 1 performs main scanning and subscanning of the original to output picture information successively. Transmission control device 2 codes picture information output from reader 1 and codes compressed picture information and transmits compressed picture information onto the line, and meanwhile, device 2 decodes receiving data and outputs it to recording device 3. At the original read time, picture information such as a transmission time, a transmission destination code, and an original number generated from reader 1 or identification information generating device 4 are given to picture information thinning device 6 through switching device 5. In device 6, these picture information are thinned out at prescribed intervals in main scanning and subscanning directions and are input to recording device 3 successively. These picture information are recorded in device 3 successively, so that the contracted monitor copy with identification information added can be obtained. |
