<p>An automatic identification system for objects, vehicles, individuals, etc. uses passive time delay elements to process the output of electromagnetic detectors. The read station is coupled to a receiver (AE) that has the output coupled to a number of time delays (t1,t2,t3 etc.) of specific values, connected to common lines (L). The parallel delay circuit is connected to a filter (F1) and an element (N) with a non-linear characteristic. The input signal spectrum (f1,f2,f3..fx) is converted to a signal covering a different spectrum (mf1+,-nf2+,-...2fr), and is used to control the read process.</p> |
