A frameless window unit e.g. for a caravan comprises a pane 5, e.g of polycarbonate or acrylic material with its peripheral regions offset first at one side 10 and then at the other 15 and a clamping member 19 secured to the pane e.g. by a bushing 20 and screw 21 so that the portions 15, 15' grip the wall 1 around the opening e.g. via sealing strips 18, 18'. The pane may be double glazed, the portions 13, 13' may be made opaque and rivets and/or strips for reinforcement or decoration used instead of bushings and screws. <IMAGE> |
