The elastic clip (1) in metal wire or strip, is used to secure a hose and has a reserve of elasticity which offsets creep. It uses a radial tongue (3) and hook (2) to lock in place, urging inherent elasticity to clamp a hose in position, and may have undulations (5,6) which provide the reserve elasticity. The undulations (5,6) deform when the clip is installed and return to their original dimensions, being separated from the hose by an apron (4) or down stand tabs (7). The apron and tabs prevent the hose from deforming to fill the undulations.
