<p>The drainage path (1) has a sausage shape and is filled with fibrous material (2) that will not rot, to form a subsoil drain. The fibres may be of synthetic material or chestnut, and may be contained by a net (3) of synthetics or similar. The unit has a dia. of 100mm or more. Several may be placed end to end in a trench to form a subsoil drain with filter capability. The dimensions of the unit are dependent on the type of soil used, and it reduces the possibility of drain blockage.</p> |
