<p>A cheap, disposable protective hood, for use partic. by surgeons, is mfd. from a section of tubular knitted fabric having a length four times the width (W) of the flattened tube, and which is extensible at least in the lateral sense. One end of the tube, which may be cut straight across or along a curved line, is closed by means of adhesive, by sewing or welding, or by knotting or gathering the other end being left open. From the body of the tube is cut a facial aperture whose length parallel to the axis of the tube is approx. equal to W, and width is W/2, the aperture being situated twice as far from the open end of the tube as from the closed end.</p> |
