<p>The heat insulating flap is fitted on roller blind assemblies which have been built on existing windows. The flap is of an elastic material fitted with one edge to the slat provided on the upper window frame leg. The flap is shaped in such a way, that it constantly rests against the surface of the coil of the roller blind preventing heat from escaping through the gap which occurs, when the roller blind is lowered and the dia. of the blind coil is at its minimum. Without the flap, heat from the air space between blind and glazing would escape through the gap and slot between the outer surface of the blind and cover plate.</p> |
