<p>Magneto-inductance is a solenoid with a number of turns below 1000 wound around a magnetic circuit which may be open or closed. The circuit is made from one or more thin cores, of very small size, isolated from each other, of a substance of very high magnetic permeability such as sheet steel, ferrite, oriented or not. The assembly forms an electromagnetic element presenting very large variation of inductance when submitting to a changing magnetic field. The solenoid is used as a probe to record change of a magnetic field. The device is much more sensitive and faster acting than probes of prior art.</p> |
