IMAGE EVALUATION METHOD AND CIRCUIT USING MICROCOMPUTER CONTROL

The microprocessor controlled unit is used for the generation of image displays on a cathode ray tube screen. The analogue video signal is amplified and processed by a comparator to generate digital image signals that are stored in a read-write memory. The level for the comparator is provided by an output stage and digital to analogue converter, controlled by the micro-computer. A line point counter and line counter operate together with an address multiplexer to access the contents of the read-write memory. Deflection stages are controlled to provide the display.
