<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate the shadow parts owing to a level difference made on the outside circumference of transparent conductive films and on which vapor deposition particles do not adhere, flatten the orientation layer of liquid crystal particles and reduce the orientation disturbance of the liquid crystal molecules by forming the transparent insulation films by a lift-off method. CONSTITUTION:A transparent conductive film 2 and a selective etching layer 4 which permits selective etching for the transparent conductive film 2 are successively formed on one side of a platelike glass substrate 1 successively so as to assume desired display patterns. Next, a transparent insulation film 5 are formed in the thus formed surface, after which the selective etching layer 4 is peeled together with the transparent insulation film 5 formed thereon by selective etching. Next, another transparent insulation film 6 is formed by diagonal vapor deposition from thereabove, whereby the orientation layer of liquid crystal molecules is flattened and the orienta tion disturbance of the liquid crystal molecules is decreased, thus the electrochemi cally superior, homogenous and stable orientation of liquid crystal display mole cules is obtained.</p> |
