PURPOSE:To provide a duplicating system capable of easily obtaining synthetic pictures by providing the duplicating system with a reader which reads the original picture in terms of picture element units, an ink jet printer of the charging-and- deflection type, and a controller which couples the reader with the printer and inputs additional picture information signals into the printer. CONSTITUTION:The controller 3 comprises a buffer storage for storing the picture signals corresponding to one line read by the reader 1, once stores the picture signals in the buffer storage, then sequentially reads the stored picture signals and feeds them to the charging-and-deflection type ink jet printer 2 to obtain a duplicate picture. The controller 3 also has the function of reading the additional picture information, other than the picture information read by the reader 1, from an incorporated storage unit or taking in the additional picture information from the outside and inputting it into the ink jet printer 2. Accordingly, the original picture can be duplicated and the additional picture information can be taken from the incorporated storage unit or form the exterior and added to the duplicate pictuer, thereby obtaining a synthetic picture easily. |
