The unit comprises a number of sub units to measure muscular activity, heart beat rate and other conditions including temperature. These units provide audible and visual signals via a loudspeaker and LED's to indicate values to the patient. A number of patients equipments are connected by cable to a central equipment which contains similar units to provide measurement of remote sensor outputs and to provide calibration values. A chart recorder and oscilloscope enable the outputs to be recorded and visually observed. The system also comprises an alpha rhythm monitor which has a powerful amplifier to subsequently allow for dipping or filtering operations.
