<p>PURPOSE:To improve the durability of a brake and brake control means by judging whether a driven wheel is in the hydroplaining state and avoiding a brake from operating even if excessive accelerating slip is detected when it is judged that the driven wheel is in the hydroplaining state. CONSTITUTION:At the time of accelerating an automobile, the generation of an accelerating slip of a driving wheel is detected according to a difference in rotating speed between the driving wheel and a driven wheel in accelerating slip detecting means (a). When excessive accelerating slip is detected, a brake is operated by brake control means (b) to decrease the slip to restrain the rotation of the driving wheel. In such a device, there is provided judging means (c) for judging whether the driven wheel is in the hydroplaining state. When it is judged that the driven wheel is in the hydroplaining state, the driving wheel is avoided from being braked regardless of detecting excessive accelerating slip by brake operation avoiding means (d).</p> |
