PURPOSE:To enhance the strength of a duct for a flat linear induction pump while retaining the original function thereof by forming a cross sectional shape of the duct approximately in cross shape and disposing an iron core and a coil for generating a moving magnetic field to form a loop in a magnetic field of one phase. CONSTITUTION:The cross sectional shape of a pump duct is formed approximately in a corss shape, and end bard 14 are provided at the respective ends and intersecting point thereof. Four iron cores 11a-11d are disposed to surround the duct 13, and three-phase coils 12a-13d are mounted thereon. The coils 12a-13d are so disposed as to generate a magnetic field of a direction as designated by an arrow when exciting it with a three-phase power source. In this manner, the mechanical strength of the duct 13 can be enhanced while performing the pumping effect in the same manner as the conventional one. |
