The continuous-flow heater pipe is designed to recover heat from the flue of a stove. It comprises an inner pipe which is made of copper sheet, enclosed by an 8mm dia. spiral of copper pipe, through which water flows. The copper pipe spiral is in turn enclosed by an outer pipe which is made of sheet steel. The use of copper for the inner flue pipe and the water pipe allows a high heat exchange efficiency. The water may flow down the pipe spiral in counterflow to the flue gases or it may flow in the same direction.
|
